I want to thank Jeff Gold the founder of Rescue Me and all his team for creating this amazing way to help animals find a home. Rescue Me has helped us put Dory in a good home with a great family where they will give her the attention that she deserves because she is such a great Bull Mastiff dog. Thank you.

After trying unsuccessfully for six months to find the perfect home for my buddy, we finally found the perfect match. Duncan is now living on a farm in Georgia with a couple who recently lost their own dog to cancer. They are loving and patient with Duncan and have sent me updates and pictures. They are all adjusting to each other. I miss my boy, but I am so glad to have found him a loving home. Thank you for your help, Rescue Me!

I was very worried that Cooper would not be receptive to the new people adopting him. They drove five hours in bad weather to come out and meet him. It went very well with the visit and she took him home. She has been sending pictures of him settling in at her home on her bed. Thank you so much for your help, Rescue Me. I feel good he is in a loving home.

I can't fully express my gratitude for this site and the family who adopted my Bull Mastiff! Just when I was feeling hopeless, he was taken into a great home with a companion female. I know he will be well taken care of. Thank you! Thank you!

I didn't realize how quickly our dog was matched to a special home. Today, she went home with a special man, a double amputee. I am so sure Leeloo will make a great companion for him. The best thing is we will get to visit her. I posted her on Rescue Me today and she was quickly found the same day.

I wasn't planning on adopting a dog. I stumbled onto her photo and something compelled me to go see her. She was about two and a half hours away. (I love Bullmastiffs and have had two.) I took my Australian Sheppard and my year and one half old Fawn to see how they'd be together. They all got along as the caretaker walked her next to mine. Billie, as she was named from somewhere along her shelter journey, was very underweight. The night I took her home, she weighed 82 pounds. By her frame, she should have been at least been 120-130 pounds. She is surprisingly sweet though a little dominant, which I have corrected. She learned to use a ramp right away to get into the back of my Hummer. She goes to doggie playgroup at least twice a week and now weighs about 108 pounds and climbing. I've had her a little over four weeks. She plays with her 'sisters' in the back yard kiddie pool, goes for long walks and has a toy box full of bones and toys. I'm very happy to have had the chance to rescue her. I wish I could take more of them! My only suggestion is to make sure you have a competent vet. Billie was severely underweight, not from not eating, but from chronic diarrhea and Girardia. She should have been screened for this but was only screened for heartworm. This can spread throughout the kennel. Thank you, Rescue Me, for the opportunity to save Billie- she is delightful!

The Boerboel is the only dog that I want. My sister then sent me this link http://dog.rescueme.org/za. I went on and saw this dog, Boerboel that just appealed to me. He looked so much like our other ones. I made contact with his owners and they send me pics of him. Immediately, without consulting my husband, I agreed that I wanted this dog. When I showed my husband the dog's picture, he also agreed. We picked him up this morning. Both ourselves and his previous owners are very happy that the dog was not put down, but indeed found a new home and new owners. Thank you, Rescue Me, without your service I wouldn't have found my Dewet.

My wife and I saw King on Rescue Me and knew he was going to be the perfect addition to our family. We were worried that we might not be able to get him, because the rescue organization that had him was bringing him to our local Petsmart for an adoption event. It was 'first come, first served', and we were third on the list. We arrived two hours early and waited nervously for King to arrive, wondering if the two people on the list before us were also there for King. As it turned out, we were first on the list for this soon-to-be-big boy Bull Mastiff/Lab mix. He's already making himself at home, becoming a friend to his new sister, Jada. He sleeps wonderfully in his crate and is going to be a VERY good boy.

We were looking into getting a puppy and decided to look on Rescue Me! to see what we could find when we came across 'Tiny'. After seeing her picture my husband called her owner and asked if we could come meet her. She is a beautiful dog, but I was extremely hesitant to have a large dog because, in my mind, a big dog comes with big problems. With her being older, I was pretty sure she would be set in her ways. Reluctantly I agreed to 'just meet her' and her owner was gracious enough to let us come visit minutes after we called her. When we arrived she was barking so loud and fierce in her kennel. I gave my Husband that look of 'Don't even think about it!' After a few minutes her owner said, 'I'm going to let her out of her cage.' She came barreling at us as I hid behind my husband, scared to death! Tiny ran past him and over to me. I swear she was smiling at me, and I instantly fell in love with her! After, my Husband said 'we'll take her!' We brought her home a couple days after meeting her... I am positive she will be the perfect pet for us! Thank you to Krista for giving us this wonderful blessing, and to Rescue Me! for helping people like us find these beautiful animals!! God bless, Sheri

We had a lot of inquires about Chewy. We did, however, narrow the prospects down quickly and found the greatest home for Chewy. He will have two new Dad's and a four-legged sister that is named Bridgette. Chewy will have the life of luxury, leisure and travel with his new family. His two new Dad's have a huge heart and so much love to give to him. I am excited for the new chapter in this big lump of loves life.

Because of this site, and the wonderful people behind it, I was able to find my family's mastiff a new loving home where she will have all the love and attention she deserves. Our dog Cindy is now with her new family, adjusting to her new life. We all miss her, but we could not take her with us to our new home, as we just did not have the space she needed...      We were to lucky to find a wonderful family in North Dakota that gave Moose a new home! They saw the posting on the Rescue Me! site and contacted me. What makes this site wonderful is that is draws people that are truly interested in the animal for it's well being. It was important for me to not just find a home for moose, but to find the perfect home where he will be loved and part of someone's family. This site brings together people and pets. I am truly thankful!

This is the third time Rescue Me! proved to be a great resource for us. First was when we were able to assist Maggie by providing foster care and placement, and the second time more recently when we posted Priscilla, a beautiful young girl in foster care with us in Virginia. Within hours of the Rescue Me! post, we had a very solid application for her. After a background check, home visit and introduction, we are pleased to report that Priscilla has gone to her new home. Third, we stepped in last weekend to help Tank who was posted to www.RescueMe.Org for adoption. He's in our hands now, receiving some vet care, and he'll be looking for his new home soon. Thanks for providing such a user friendly site.

I became aware of Rescue Me when we had to find a new home for our giant snuggle bug, Lugg. Within hours of the posting going up, I received an email from someone interested, and within 24 hours, I had numerous calls. Lugg is now living with a loving family of seven who have land and give him lots of love and affection. Putting a dog up for adoption is not an easy decision, but with the help of Rescue Me! and the amazing people I met along the way (who went out of their way to help) was more than I ever expected. Lugg is now living with a GREAT family and my family and I are at peace knowing he is going to get all the love, care, and attention he needs plus a whole lot more. :) Thank you so much Rescue Me!!

I became aware of Rescue Me when I was hunting for various cat breeds that I wished to have. When it became necessary to find a good home for our Bull Mastiff I remembered Rescue Me wasn't just for cats. I had numerous calls within 24 hrs of posting his picture. It turned out for the very best and Bubba now has a wonderful loving couple for new parents. They recently lost their 4 yr old Bull Mastiff and were overjoyed when they saw Bubba listed on Rescue Me. Thank you Rescue Me!!!! Without you it would have be a very hard time finding someone to love such a big baby as a Bull Mastiff. We would have had to ask Bull Mastiff Rescue to take him to a foster home. I can't say enough good things about your website and the good you do to help needy animals find new loving homes!!! It was a God send for our wonderful Bubba to find a new home with a very loving couple!!! Thank You Rescue Me for making this possible !!!!

Major was living in an abusive environment before he came into my care. He is a giant sweetheart with a playful, fun loving temperament. While I would have loved to keep him in my care, I worried that his previous owner may try to take him back thus leading me to Rescue Me! This was one of Major's last options since a local pet rescue wouldn't take him due to him being a Bullmastiff mix and us not knowing what he was mixed with. Most people that aren't knowledgeable about dogs looked at Major and assumed he was aggressive due to his large stature, nothing could have been further from the truth. With the help of Rescue Me! I was able to create a brief profile about Major, which included his many positive attributes as well as his flaws. I received quite a few phone calls and emails enabling me to choose the best possible family for Major. It was heart warming to see so many people reach out to offer Major a better home and life. Rescue Me! allowed me to ask all the questions I needed to ensure that Major was not only the best match for the family, but that the family was also the best match for Major. In the end Major went to a loving family of 5 in Montana, who live on a farm, walk him 2+ miles a day, give him unconditional love and affection, and most importantly value his companionship and life. While it was hard to let such a wonderful dog, I know that he is now apart of a family that loves him and values the happiness and love he gives. Major and his new family are blessed and so am I. Thank you Rescue Me!

Hi Jeff, I am happy to report that Maggie will be living in a wonderful foster home with people who work exclusively with Bull mastiffs, can properly care for her and have the resources and expertise to find the perfect home for her. It's great that you provide a platform where individuals can post along-side shelters and rescues. This allowed a breed-specific rescue to offer their assistance to me. Without any experience in screening prospective adopters, I was really worried about placing Maggie in the wrong hands. After posting on your site, I received immediate responses but more importantly, I was put in touch with people who devote themselves to helping animals in need. Most people like myself, might not realize that there are organizations out there that will drive hundreds of miles for a dog in need. One doesn't have to settle with a less than ideal placement just because it's close. Networking is a lifesaver for homeless animals. Thank you for providing this invaluable service.      I want to thank you for the rescue me site . My bullmastiff had puppies while I was in the hospital for a month and a half and got a heartmate 2 which is a heart pump. I had someone to take care of them but there was no way I could take care of them when I got out. Your site was wonderful I was able to find wonderful homes for all the puppies in less than a week. Unfortunately I will be using your site soon again . I'm still unable to take care of my dogs. I'm so happy your site is there and hope I have just as much luck with finding good homes for the rest of my dogs. All I want is good homes and your site has given me faith that I can find them. Thank you again! Laura Brown

Hi Jeff, The dog found a home. I put the dog up for adoption on your website on the morning I found out that she desperately needed a place to go because she was being kicked out of the home of the people who had found and kept her for three weeks. I offered to take her until I could find her a home, and I thought a Bull Mastiff rescue group would be the best situation for doing that because it would draw people who wanted that breed... The next day a family who loves Bull Mastiffs and already had one (as well as a German Shepherd), took her for the weekend, with the idea that they might adopt her themselves. I found out today that they have fallen in love with her, and the other dogs have accepted her with no problems, so she has found a forever home with them. It was a surprise to me that such a happy ending could happen so quickly.... I'm extremely glad your Bull Mastiff website is available for situations like mine - I have heard of so many stories of breed specific rescue groups who find great homes, and that is why I put her up for adoption on your site. Thank you, Roberta

Midas moved to his new home yesterday. It was really tough seeing him go, and coming home to an empty house after work today was tough, too. Believe it or not, I missed our 5:30 am walk today! I am sure he'll be a happy guy with the new home he's in, as the people really seem to be bullmastiff lovers. The new owners lost their 10 year old bullmastiff about a year ago and were just now finding themselves ready to adopt another one when my guy appeared on the site. I feel using this site, especially for my breed, was a much better idea than a newspaper ad. Just about all of those who wrote to me really had it together in the bullmastiff world.

Dear Jeff, Bruna was adopted out yesterday to a great family. We had a lot of responses to the ad you posted for Bruna. I am so happy to have found your site. Bruna went to a loving home that was looking for a Bull Mastiff. She is with a family with 2 young children and we couldn't be any happier. It was very difficult for us to place her for adoption. Using your site, was the answer to a successful adoption. Thank you so much. We will definitively be making a donation to your organization. Lori Verity
