Meet lovable Lincoln! This handsome red guy is about 2 1/2 years old and is being fostered near Austin, TX. Lincoln is neutered, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and working hard on his leash-training. Lincoln loves to play fetch and is good with people of all ages. He tested positive for heartworms, so is taking medicine that is easy to give and provided by ABARS. Lincoln has been around 2 females and a male dog that were smaller than him with no issue, but isn't fond of dogs larger than him. He would probably do best with a female dog smaller than he is with a slow and proper introduction. For more information on Lincoln, or to make him part of your family, please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org. PLEASE NOTE: Adopters are only considered with a completed application. Please visit www.bullmastiff.us/rescue to apply. Remember - Adoption is always the best option! If you can't help by adopting a homeless Bullmastiff, please consider making a donation to ABA Rescue Services. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-23-00474Maxine (female)
Meet Maxine! She is a beautiful 5 year old Bullmastiff that is brand new to the Bullpen. Since she just arrived in her foster home, we are still getting to know more about her. What we do know is that she is current on her vaccines, spayed, heart worm positive and will need to continue heart worm treatment in her new home. She lives with two young children under the age of 5 and is very patient and calm with them. As we learn more, we will post updates. If you have any questions about Maxine or any of our other dogs, please feel free to contact us at: email@example.com. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. The adoption app is available on our website (www.bullpenrescue.org) under the 'work with us' tab. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you're interested in is a good match. Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a 'perfect placement' so we know that they will not be failed again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Less)

We saved this dog from euthanization. So far he is laid back and very sweet. We are on our way to the vet to get him evaluated. We were told he is heartworm positive. We are going to see what it will cost to save him. We are looking for someone that will have the heart to continue to care for him. He deserves a chance at a good life.

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-04-00248Bella (female)
Bella is very sweet purebred bullmastiff. Unfortunately new living circumstance and a new baby in the family forced us to rehome this sweet girl. It breaks our hearts to do so, but it would be for the best for her. She is very sweet with people. BUT she has got into fights with other dogs before, although she has gotten along with my siblings dogs no problem. She is current on all of her vaccines and heartworm prevention, and we will gladly providing with vet records to prove so.

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-30-00256Bentley (male)
Please save Bentley. Bentley is the best dog we have ever had. He closely bonds with his caregiver and his/her family. He has personality plus and is the most wonderful companion. He is very protective and loyal to his owner. He is very smart and trainable, sheds very little, and with a doggy door home we've never had any accidents. The only reason we have to re-home him is he has had two biting incidents, a housekeeper and the charter guy. Since I have three young children and a busy household, our home isn't the right home for him. His quarantine ends on July 1st with the animal shelter. He was 'protecting' the family when he bit, and we hate to see that be a death penalty. He needs to go to a home where the owner doesn't have children and has dog training experience. He's 1/4 American Staffordshire and 1/8 Bullmastiff. Please help save him, but only to the right person and the right home. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-01-00285Bella (female)
Bella is a very sweet and loving dog with her owners, but is extremely protective when it comes to other dogs and strangers. She is good with our children, but has shown aggression to other children when they have tried to approach her. Bella should be the only dog in a home with someone who is patient and has time to train her to be more submissive and calm. We cannot keep her because of the aggression she has shown towards our other dog around our children, as we are fearful that she may unintentionally harm them. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this dog, but I cannot risk the safety of my children in keeping her so I am asking someone with experience and a big heart to open their home to her. Bullmastiff Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Bullmastiff is a large, powerful dog related to the English Bulldog. Bullmastiffs are very loyal and devoted to their families. Bullmastiffs are very protective and make good guard dogs. A Bullmastiff is a good family pet and gets along well with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of its large size. Bullmastiffs need firm masters. Bullmastiffs need attention and to be treated like part of the family; they should not be left alone. Bullmastiffs may be lazy and not enjoy exercise but need a daily walk and should not be allowed to put on too much excess weight. A Bullmastiff can live in an apartment if it gets enough daily exercise.
