Rescue Me ID: 17-07-15-00163Rocco (male)

Bullmastiff    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Rocco is a very calm, sweet-natured dog. He is definitely a guardian, even while being so young. While he can occupy himself, he prefers sitting close to 'his humans'. He does not bark or growl. Not at the doorbell or strangers, not even at other aggressive dogs. You can easily take things from his mouth, and he is not food protective in the slightest. He's great with young and older kids, great when meeting strangers. He does rough house if you initiate, but is extremely mellow normally. He walks excellently on the leash, knows to sit and lie down, and comes when called (either by name or a whistle). He's house and crate trained. He is ... (Read More)still a puppy (even though he's 70 lbs) and although we've worked out most of his destructive tendencies, should not be left alone for long periods of time until he gets older (unless crated). He does 'bellow' or 'grumble' in his own way when he is displeased, hungry or needs to go to the bathroom. We've also worked on 'not jumping', and while he's very good with it, it still needs worked on. Rocco chases (but does not harm) cats. Although Rocco has no current glaring health issues now, he is a purebred and has a shorter lifespan than mixed breeds. In addition, he has a sensitive stomach and may have bouts of diarrhea if given large amounts of human food. His diet should only contain dry/wet dog food or chicken and rice. Even foods that dogs can eat have proven to upset his stomach. He is a big baby, and although does not display signs of separation anxiety, does not like to be alone for extremely long periods of time. He benefits massively from the company of another dog, or more than one person in the house. Please contact me for more information! (Less)

PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE BIO AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION (available at under Forms to Download) BEFORE CONTACTING US. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO TELEPHONE INQUIRIES. Hello! My name is Dynasty, and I am looking for family to call my own. I am a 4 year old female bullmastiff, up to date on shots, housebroken, and crate trained. Something special about me is, I was raised in a daycare and I am the perfect nanny! I adore toddlers and kids of all ages, and feel especially at home when you put a disney movie on. I am very sweet and cuddly, I am happy to go along with whatever you're doing as long as I'm next to you, I love ... (Read More)everyone I meet, especially someone who will pet me and rub my giant belly. About my giant belly%BD'%BD| well, I'm on a strict diet, and I'm working really hard with my foster mom to get down to a healthier weight. I enjoy quietly chewing my bone, chasing birds or squirrels, and I can even catch flies in my mouth like the karate kid! My ideal home would be one with a fenced yard, as I have a terrific prey drive and my strength makes it difficult for me to be walked easily on the leash. I would be best as the only pet in the home, I'd be happy with some little humans to spend time with, and a family who enjoys the companionship of an extra large lovebug! If your family would like to provide me with the home I deserve, please complete the adoption application at My tax-deductible adoption fee is $400 and I am being fostered in PA. However, don't let my location be a barrier. If you think I am the bullmastiff for your family, BRI can arrange my transport! (Less)
