Please complete our adoption application before contacting the foster home. Sammi is microchipped, up to date on all vaccines and spayed. She comes with a month of free pet insurance. Sammi is approximately a 4-years-old spayed female. She is friendly, alert and very social. Sammi has liked everyone she has met wagging her tail and snuggling up for a pet. She may startle and bark once when people walk in the house and she will initially shy away from people carrying packages (and children running past with lacrosse sticks and badminton rackets). But her tail wags and she gets past it quickly particularly if she is given a little reassurance. Sammi is housebroken and knows a couple of commands (sit, down, paw). She still needs to learn to walk nicely on a leash put she wants to please and is motivated by treats which makes her easily trainable. She has had the run of a large fenced in back yard and has been very content to stay close by never looking to get out. In the house, she is a good companion and always in a room where there are people. She likes to sleep on the floor next to someone's bed. She has gotten along well with the resident dog (also a rescue bullmastiff) and with a little training Sammi has also learned to co-exist and not chase the resident chicken who roams the backyard. Sammi came into foster care suffering from severe dermological issues which were likely based on food allergies as she is fully recovered with a beautiful coat, clear ears and bright eyes now that she is on a simple protein diet (kibble and canned food). Her adoption donation is $400. If you are interested in Sammi and have any questions, please contact her current foster family at email@example.com after filling out an application at www.bullmastiffrescuers.org (Less)

Bullmastiff Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The Bullmastiff is a large, powerful dog related to the English Bulldog. Bullmastiffs are very loyal and devoted to their families. Bullmastiffs are very protective and make good guard dogs. A Bullmastiff is a good family pet and gets along well with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of its large size. Bullmastiffs need firm masters. Bullmastiffs need attention and to be treated like part of the family; they should not be left alone. Bullmastiffs may be lazy and not enjoy exercise but need a daily walk and should not be allowed to put on too much excess weight. A Bullmastiff can live in an apartment if it gets enough daily exercise.
