PLEASE READ COMPLETE BIO BEFORE CONTACTING US. This sweet, docile girl spent her life in a puppy mill, producing litter after litter despite her terrible condition. When she came to us in the summer, she was in awful shape, but she celebrated her 6th birthday on 8/29 happy and safe in foster care. She's missing a toe, almost certainly because she caught it in her wire crate and it was left to heal on its own. She also suffered a painful eye injury that (again) went untreated and left her blind in that eye. We recently had it removed to make her more comfortable and have already seen a change in her - she's more outgoing and inquisitive now that the painful eye is gone. Wendy is sweet and engaging, and she shyly approaches, wagging her tail carefully, in the hope that she will get a pat or a kind word or maybe even a cookie! Give her that and she's your friend forever. This little girl had never know the comfort of a soft bed, let alone a house or a couch! She was terrified of everything - a hair dryer or TV could send her into hiding for hours, but she's past all of that now and waiting for a home to call her own. She LOVES the company of another dog and seeks reassurance and confidence from her housemates. Wendy is a supreme snuggler and loves to ride in the car. She is still learning what's hers and what isn't, so she must be crated if left alone and watched carefully when you're with her - she loves to chew and is especially fond of things like socks and other small, soft objects. She's approaching her ideal weight now (she's at 72 pounds and should be right between 75 and 80), healthy, housebroken and crate-trained, fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped - she's a superstar at the vet and the staff adores her. The only thing she still needs is a home to call her own - her adoption fee is $300. Wendy comes with 30 days of free health insurance through PetPlan. |Rescue Me ID: 15-08-17-00453BARNEY (male)|
Barney is a super sweet, 4 yr. old, male, Anatolian Shepherd mix. He loves people, best in a home with slightly older children, and seems dog friendly. He will need a home without cats though. Barney was saved by Friends of Linden Animal Shelter, Linden, N.J. from a local, New Jersey shelter. We discovered that Barney has some medical problems and we have good news! Barney had his knee surgery on Thursday, Oct 22 and is doing phenomenal! He is recuperating in a quiet foster home and would love a new family when his rehab is up in 6 weeks. He is a great family dog! Please apply to foster or adopt Barney at: Folas.org and email: email@example.com Watch his video at https://youtu.be/DuNeYssd5DI. (Less)

**BARNEY NEEDS A FOSTER SO THAT HE CAN HAVE KNEE SURGERY** PLEASE SHARE TO FIND BARNEY A FOSTER HOME!! Barney is big, wonderful guy who loves everyone he meets. Barney has a bad knee which is going to require surgery. Barney needs a foster home where he can recover post surgery. Barney cannot have his surgery until we find him a foster home. Barney is a 3-4 year old Anatolian shepherd mix. He is a total love bug. He meets everyone with a tail wag and a smile. Barney is a big boy at 75lbs but he is a gentle boy and walks very nicely on his leash. Barney came to FOLAS from the Union Township Animal Shelter. Barney was an owner surrender there several months ago. Once he came to FOLAS it was discovered that poor Barney has been suffering from several painful medical issues. Barney has several broken teeth that will need to be extracted, he has double ear infections, a torn cruciate ligament on his left back leg and he has an infection in his right front foot. None of this has made Barney lose his spirit. He is one of the sweetest pups that you will ever meet. Barney has endured pain long enough. Please help us to find Barney a foster home ASAP so that we can get him on his way to recovery. Bullmastiff Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The Bullmastiff is a large, powerful dog related to the English Bulldog. Bullmastiffs are very loyal and devoted to their families. Bullmastiffs are very protective and make good guard dogs. A Bullmastiff is a good family pet and gets along well with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of its large size. Bullmastiffs need firm masters. Bullmastiffs need attention and to be treated like part of the family; they should not be left alone. Bullmastiffs may be lazy and not enjoy exercise but need a daily walk and should not be allowed to put on too much excess weight. A Bullmastiff can live in an apartment if it gets enough daily exercise.
