Rescue Me ID: 17-09-28-00403  (male)

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Deaf, Aggressive

Rowdy is a 5 year old bullmastiff with chronic ear infections that has caused him to become deaf. He has lived inside his whole life and we prefer it to stay that way. The MS heat and humidity seems to irritate his ears more. Over the past year, I've started to notice a few aggressive tendencies. Low growling towards my niece and nephew and some adults. He nipped my 6lb dachshund but he was asleep and I believe he was just startled. We have a one year old that we've kept him away from due to his size and not being stable on his feet. I believe this has caused jealousy and some depression. He growls at him through the baby gate and recently ... (Read More)barked and acted like he would bite him (again this was through the baby gate separating them). He needs a loving home with NO CHILDREN! He was treated as our baby for 4 years, slept with us, went everywhere with us and now I just can't take the risk of him hurting our child. I want to keep him but I believe he doesn't have much of a life being separated from us all the time. (Less)
