BD is a sweet, lumbering and loving dog, we aren't certain but upon research he resembles a Bullmastiff . He wandered up to our rural home and was a bit skittish at first, then when he saw food and became friends with our other adoptee, he determined that he should stay. BD seems to enjoy a good 'hunt'; raccoons, squirrels, and rabbits seem to find their way to our garden, and mulch areas. It appears, they did not come willingly (nor will they be leaving)...he HAS rid the property of the mole problem as well! He has never growled at any of us (except Gladys-the other dog on our property) but only when she tries to take his food! They have a great relationship, playing and running across the fields, they don't ever seem to fight. Our concern is for our cats, I don't believe he likes them (except as perhaps something to chase) and they certainly don't like him in return. Please help us find a loving home for this sweet dog. Bullmastiff Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Bullmastiff is a large, powerful dog related to the English Bulldog. Bullmastiffs are very loyal and devoted to their families. Bullmastiffs are very protective and make good guard dogs. A Bullmastiff is a good family pet and gets along well with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of its large size. Bullmastiffs need firm masters. Bullmastiffs need attention and to be treated like part of the family; they should not be left alone. Bullmastiffs may be lazy and not enjoy exercise but need a daily walk and should not be allowed to put on too much excess weight. A Bullmastiff can live in an apartment if it gets enough daily exercise.
